Our carefully formulated cortisol and hormone regulating supplement is made for the health-minded athlete. The physical and emotional stress of being an athlete can take a toll on performance, and ingredients in Regulate are scientifically shown to mitigate those effects as much as possible. Regulate is formulated to calm you on a cellular level through cortisol reduction and hormonal balancing so attention and positive energy may be turned toward training and well-being.
Powerful ingredients like ashwaganda, a potent anxiolytic, and reishi, a mushroom found to reduce fatigue and increase emotional wellbeing and functionality combine forces in Regulate to help your body function optimally in times of stress.
Ingredients in Regulate have been shown to:
Reduce anxiety and depression, and chronic stress Have anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory effects Promote relaxation and blood flow Improve insulin sensitivity Improve amino acid absorption
There appears to be proliferative effects on T-lymphocytes and natural killer cells. It was found in advanced colon cancer patients that various parameters of immunity trended towards significance after ingestion of 5.4g Reishi extract, daily. A decrease in fatigue has been noted, improvements were seen in fatigue, physical and emotional (but not social) well being, and improvements in functionality (all assessed by FACT-F survey) as well as reductions in anxiety and depression (assessed by HAD) in female breast cancer patients suffering from fatigue and undergoing endocrine therapy. TNF-a and IL-6 levels were correlated with fatigue, and were reduced after intervention. TNF-α is a proinflammatory cytokine that is used as a marker of inflammation.
Evidence suggests potent anxiolytic effects in the context of chronic stress and anxiety disorder. The decrease in cortisol noted in humans has reached 14.5-27.9% in otherwise healthy but stressed humans. 300 mg of an ashwagandha extract ("full spectrum") for 60 days in persons with chronic mental stress was able to improve all tested parameters and reduced serum cortisol by 27.9%. Improvements in power output have been noted in trained persons subject to a sprint test. Supplementation of 500mg of the water extract of ashawanghda has been noted to improve power output and velocity of sprints, as well as to improve VO2 max without affecting blood pressure. There is a decrease in total cholesterol of around 10% when ashwagandha (water extract of the roots) is ingested. 6 persons with Type II diabetes and 6 persons with high cholesterol demonstrated lipid lowering effects, anti-glycemic effects, and a diuretic effect. Polymethoxylated Flavones 300mg
PMFs significantly prevent and/or improve cognitive dysfunction and motor dysfunction. These action mechanisms involve diverse functions, such as antioxidant effects, anti-inflammatory effects, inhibition of Aβ pathology, suppression of neurodegeneration and neuronal cell death, regulation of neurotrophic signals and synaptic plasticity. Citrus peels and/or extract have been reported to have various beneficial effects on humans, e.g., body weight control, promote cardiovascular health, improve hepatic steatosis and cancer prevention.
Magnolia plants tend to be significantly cancer protective, and show protective effects on the liver and the brain via fighting inflammation and oxidation. They have also been linked to anti-depressant and anxiety reducing effects.
DIM (3,3’-Diindolylmethane) 200mg
It has potent effects on estrogen metabolism and is able to keep the body relatively balanced (by preventing either drastic increases or decreases in estrogen). In small amounts, it can both inhibit the aromatase enzyme (and prevent conversion of testosterone into estrogen) and it can act on more potent forms of estrogen and convert them into less potent forms; this conversion reduces the overall effects of estrogen in the body. Exerts numerous anti-carcinogenic (anti-cancer) effects in the body and is one of the reasons this vegetable family is seen as healthy.
Pine (Pinus Massoniana) Bark Extract (std. min. 95% Proanthocyanidins) 100mg
An improvement in nitric oxide dependent blood flow appears to occur following supplementation. 180mg of Pycnogenol for 2 weeks in otherwise healthy adult men was able to increase the acetylcholine-induced relaxation response in blood vessels, secondary to nitric oxide. In persons with Coronary Artery Disease, Pycnogenol at 200mg daily for 8 weeks is associated with an improvement of blood flow independent of changes in blood pressure. In persons with osteoarthritis given 100mg pycnogenol once daily for 3 months, supplementation was able to more than half (56% reduction) symptoms of osteoarthritis. Pygnogenol was associated with improved cognition and mood over 8 weeks in otherwise healthy students given a battery of tests; Pycnogeol was also associated with a reduced rate of failed tests and higher average marks Cocoabuterol® Cocoa (Theobroma Cacao L.) Seed Extract (std. min. 50% Alkaloids) 50mg
Blood flow appears to be increased in the body very reliably as assessed by flow-mediated vasodilation (FMD) by around 2%. Cocoa products appear to be able to reduce LDL cholesterol due to their flavonoid component. High sensitivity C-reactive protein decreased, suggesting an anti-inflammatory property. Many studies have noted a minor benefit to insulin sensitivity in both healthy subjects and diabetics, likely due to a transient increase of glucose uptake into tissue. Astragin® (Astragalus Membranaceus Extract [Root] & Panax Notoginseng Extract [Root]) 50mg
Appears to activate T-cells to a degree higher than the reference drug echinacea. Case studies suggest curative effects. Potential of astragalus for aiding kidney function. A combination of Panax Notoginseng and Astragalus membranaceus that promotes greater absorption of amino acids and other ingredients. AstraGin® up-regulates both the mRNA and protein expression levels of the nutrient transporters that regulate the amount of amino acids , glucose, vitamins, and other nutrients entering into the intestinal cells.
